Our History

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves as the new owners of RTR Cycles in Washington, IL.  Our names are Ben & Bren Eyster; last name pronounced EYE-STIR.

We are Illinois natives with a passion for the power sports enthusiast.  Ben has been riding motorcycles since he turned 16 years of age and Bren has been her own driver since 2002.  We have enjoyed our trips and vacations to some great destinations such as; Daytona Beach, the outer banks of North Carolina, Niagara Falls, the Finger Lakes of New York, Gettysburg, the Great Smokey Mountains, Deals Gap (The Dragon), Cherahoa Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway, Yellowstone National Park, The Black Hills, Sturgis, Deadwood, Beartooth Pass and many places in between.

On April 12, 2010, RTR Cycles started operations under a new name, Thunder PowerSports. Thunder PowerSports will still carry the entire line of Yamaha motorcycles, scooters, ATV’s, and side-by-sides along with introducing the line of portable generators.  KTM customers, no worry, we will continue as a KTM Orange dealership providing you a full line of off road and street motorcycles, ATV’s, and service.

We hope you will find some time to stop in and check out the dealership and while you are here, introduce yourself.  We look forward to meeting all the great people Rick & Tina have been telling us about.

Our mission is to be your preferred business for all your power sports needs.

See you soon,

Ben & Bren Eyster
